The glacier run

Our tip

Pause for a moment and enjoy the unique mountain landscape.

The safe off-piste experience

The run on the Pers Glacier and Morteratsch Glacier takes you past Piz Palü and Bernina to Morteratsch.

This is Switzerland’s longest glacier run. It’s fascinating, wild and beautiful. The run on the Pers Glacier and Morteratsch Glacier is eight kilometres long and passes directly under Piz Palü. Magnificent mountains will tower above you as you descend. Unlike other, “smoothed out” glacier skiing areas, this run is not groomed, so it provides an authentic snow sports experience. The run ends at the Rhaetian Railway station of Morteratsch, and from there you can take the train back to the Diavolezza valley station.

Please note: The descent route is marked in yellow on both sides, but it is not groomed!
Beware crevasses! Keep within the yellow markings!

The run on the Pers Glacier and Morteratsch Glacier is closed.
