Taking a little detour to Fuorcla Surlej will be worth your while. The view of Piz Bernina and Val Roseg is fabulous. At the middle station, take the path to Fuorcla Surlej, and from there hike down to the Hahnensee.
Murtèl middle station–Hahnensee–St. Moritz-Bad
The Hahnensee is a gorgeous lake nestled between Swiss pines and firs in a moorland area.
The trail, which takes around three hours, starts at the Murtèl middle station and takes you to Lej da la Fuorcla and then down a scree slope to the Hahnensee. The Hahnensee is a lake nestled within a moorland. Surrounded by Swiss pines and firs, it’s the perfect place to stop and relax for a while. At the Hahnensee restaurant, the trail takes you on a steep path down through the forest to St. Moritz-Bad. Taking a detour to Lej Nair and Lej Marsch, and perhaps even having a swim there, will definitely be worth your while.
