The Chapella Clavadatsch was founded in 1988 and takes its name from the "Acla Clavadatsch", an old cowshed in the ski resort high above St. Moritz in the sunny Engadin, which is now used as a party hut for well-heeled tourists and where the band first played for dancing. The five musicians have their roots in the Engadin, but (almost) all of them now live scattered in different parts of Switzerland. In the 30 years or so of making music together, a deep friendship has developed and they are happy to accept the sometimes great distances between their individual homes so that they can play together every now and then. Furtschellas middle station: Departure from the valley station every 30 minutes, x.00 and x.30. Guests without a hotel package must purchase a mountain railway ticket in advance. Line-up: Sonja Nick: clarinet | Pius Baumgartner: clarinet | Köbi Frischknecht: accordion | Martin Räz: accordion | Christian Frei: double bass
