Three mountains, one landscape of fairy-tale mountain scenery
Seven months of skiing, five months of summer activities and one cable car service open 365 days a year – this is the fairy-tale mountain scenery of Corvatsch, Diavolezza and Lagalb.
The Upper Engadin skiing and hiking areas of Corvatsch AG and its partner company Diavolezza Lagalb AG are situated around the 4,408-metre mountain Piz Bernina, the only peak above 4,000 metres in the canton of Graubünden. On the western side of Piz Bernina, mighty Piz Corvatsch looms majestically. Its mountain station is the highest in Graubünden at 3,303 metres above sea level. On the eastern side of Piz Bernina lie Diavolezza and Lagalb.
Corvatsch and Furtschellas, which can be reached from Silvaplana and Sils, have 120 kilometres of superb slopes, a snow park and great places to eat and drink. There are also various exciting events on offer, such as the Freestyle World Cup and the Spring Festival. Every Friday night, on the 4.2-kilometre illuminated night slope, the Snow Night is held.
In summer, a network of around 80 kilometres of hiking trails provides the perfect way to explore Corvatsch and Furtschellas. Two of the hiking highlights are the wonderful Via Gastronomica – perfect for gourmets – and the Lake Trail, which takes you past five beautiful mountain lakes.
The two skiing areas are connected by a connecting slope and ski lift. They have 30 kilometres of slopes for winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy. One of the most spectacular experiences on offer here is the eight-kilometre glacier run from Diavolezza to Morteratsch – this is a secured but ungroomed descent route. Diavolezza has a slope open for snow sports enthusiasts to enjoy as early as October. The two restaurants with panoramic views on Diavolezza and Lagalb stand ready to feed hungry guests.
Diavolezza is also full of wonderful experiences in summer. You can explore its many hiking trails, scale the heights of Piz Trovat on via ferratas I and II, or just take in the views from the viewing platform. The view of the Bernina range, which includes the Pers Glacier and the Morteratsch Glacier, is simply fantastic.
The Berghaus Diavolezza has a range of accommodation options available: from comfortable double rooms to dorms suitable for groups.
